How to assign custom shortcut to macro in Microsoft Project, through VBA?
I have a few views and I want to be able to quickly switch between them using CTRL+1, CTRL+2, and so on. By default, Project only allows CTRL+ a letter when creating the macro.
I know that in Excel it can be done with "onkey" event. However, this doesn't seem to be available in Project.
Any help is welcome!
Thanks Andre

Retrieve/Alter resource plan via REST API
#1) Is it possible to retrieve the resource plan for a project via the REST API? If so, what is the call to do so? I tried all of the following and none of them give me the requested information:
_api/ProjectServer/Projects('<GUID>')/Draft/ProjectResources('<GUID>')
_api/ProjectServer/Projects('<GUID>')/ProjectResources('<GUID>')
_api/ProjectServer/Projects('<GUID>')
_api/ProjectServer/EnterpriseResources
Just to be 100% clear, let me give an example:
For `Project A`, I create a resource plan of `SW Engineers` 20 FTEs per month for the next 5 months
For `Project B`, I create a resource plan of `SW Engineers` 32 FTEs per month and 100 FTEs per month of `HW Engineers` for the next 5 months
For `Project C`, I create a resource plan of `SW Engineers` 12 FTEs per month for the next 5 months
I need to retrieve that information through the REST API
#2) I need the REST API URL and JSON structure to create the resource plans as described in the previous example
Need a help to extract\generate source code from a service (Installed)
Hi,
Currently we have facing some issue in service which we have developed earlier. But we don't have latest source code. We planning to extract source code from that service. Is there any tool or Microsoft in-build tools available to extract the code?
Thanks in advance.

Infopath form does not work in project site
Hi,
We are using project server 2016 on premises. I created a site (say TempSite) that will be used as a template for future project sites. I customized a form for RISK list in InfoPath 2013. I added couple of new fields, rules and removed some. When I check it in a site (TempSite) it works perfectly but after saving this site as a template and creating a new project, InfoPath form gives an error on loading in a project site.
Please help me in resolving this issue.

How do we report bugs in the Microsoft Project API?
I have a couple of bugs to report in the Microsoft Project API. (VSTO/C#, but these have been checked in VBA, also.)
1. Application.Screenupdating = false does not work, and has not worked for a long time. (Since MS Project 2013, as least). It currently does nothing.
2. Application.BoxSet does not work for subprojects. You can provide it with the subproject name, as called for in the object model, but it does not set the box. (This is in the Network Diagram view.) This issue is an old one also, since at least MS Project 2013.
2. Project.SubProjects does not increment it's count or add any new subprojects to itself once two subprojects with the same name have been added to a project. In fact, once two subprojects with the same name are added to a project, it no longer adds any new subprojects to itself, even if one of the two subprojects is deleted from the project.
For example:
I can add three subprojects to a project. Let's call them Project1, Project2, and Project3 for simplicity. If I look for a subproject.count, the API will tell me 3 projects, at this point.
If I add another subproject from another folder called Project3, and then look for a subproject count, the API will tell me 3 projects. This new project was never added to the Subprojects list.
If I delete the last subproject (the second "Project3") and then add more subprojects (lets say Project5, Project6, and Project7), and then look for a subproject count, the API will still tell me 3. No new subprojects will ever be added to that project (according to the API), no matter if I save and reload the project, etc. Nothing resets the behavior.
Hope that this helps someone clear this up. If anyone knows a better way to report bugs to the API, let me know.
Best Regards,
Paul

Auto publish project and trigger calculation service
Hi,
I have setup daily auto publish of projects using powershell and it works fine. However, the auto publish does not seems to be able to trigger the calculation services to compute the graphical indicator of my calculated custom field (with today information). Is there any way I could trigger the calculation services before publishing the project? I also found out that by saving the calculated custom field prior to the auto-publish action, it will trigger the calculation services. Alternatively, is there any powershell script that I could perform saving of enterprise custom field?

Project Online Remote Event Receivers (None of the event is firing)
Hello All,
I've created Project Online remote event receiver and deployed it to the Azure then registered Event handler to PWA site using CSOM.
But none of the event handler is firing (tried ProjectCreating, ProjectPublishing etc..) . When I browse to the Event handler Webservice WSDL I can able to see it properly.
Could you please help me if anyone does this successfully for Project Online.
For reference I've followed the below sites.

Changing Enterprise Project Type by restarting the workflow through CSOM in Project Server 2016
Setting up Change Request approval
Hi,
We recently implemented Project Server 2013. In the Project Site we have a change request form set up but it not supported by an approval workflow.
I have reviewed the documentation provided and it demonstrates how to set up a workflow for project stages but nothing on setting up Form or document approvals.
Can someone point me in the right direction on how I can do this.
Thank you. Greg
Run-time error '1011'. The argument value is not valid. when running macros in ms project 2016
Hello,
I'm using MS Project 2016, and having some VBA trouble. The VBA created formats a date box and changes its size and color based on whether its a Risk, Opportunity or both. In another project file the VBA is working correctly, but when I try to apply to other project plans I receive the "Run-time error '1101':The argument value is not valid." Error. I would sincerely appreciate it if someone could please assist. Below are the three VBA's running with the error:
Sub ExpandRiskG()

End Sub
Sub ExpandOppG()

Data missing from MSP_EpmResourceByDay table
This is a 2013 on-premise Project Server installation. I have three resources (out of hundreds) that have no data at all in the MSP_EpmResourceByDay table which means I have no capacity information I can report on. If I create a new resource, that resource immediately has data in that table. I've tried editing these resources, changing their max units value, inactivating and reactivating, but nothing seems to get capacity data into that table for me.
Any ideas?
